Overview

North Shore Pediatric Therapy is searching for a full-time Pediatric Developmental Psychologist with specialized training and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related neurodevelopmental disorders to become an active member of our Neuropsychology team.  The Developmental Psychologist will provide diagnostic and developmental evaluations, treatment and behavior consultation services to children and adolescents within the following populations: Autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities and learning disabilities. This individual will specialize with children 5 years and under with Autism.  The Developmental Psychologist will be responsible for evaluations in multiple clinics, including Des Plaines.  

Responsibilities

  • Complete 5 comprehensive intakes and feedbacks with parents and children
  • Responsible for the diagnosis and provision of treatment recommendations for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disorders impacting behavior, socialization, communication and learning
  • Provide clinical supervision to technicians, students, and fellows on administration of neuropsychological measures
  • Interpret the results and provide feedback to parents within two weeks of an evaluation
  • Write comprehensive reports for parents, physicians, and schools
  • Consult with internal team of social workers, behavioral analysts, and academic specialists
  • Practice of all responsibilities in accordance with ethical and professional laws
  • Willingness to travel to various NSPT clinic locations for intakes and feedbacks

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Developmental Psychology , completed an APA approved internship site, and completed at least one year of post-doctoral residency
  • Licensed or Licensed Eligible
  • Highly skilled in standardized diagnostic measures in the evaluation with ASD and other developmental disorders
  • ADOS-2 certification and experience is required
  • Experience providing evidence based treatment interventions with children with ASD and their families
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of pediatric experience with children under 5 years
  • Recent experience in a pediatric setting (within the past 2 years)
